Inspired by her globe-trotting childhood and multi-cultural upbringing, Kiki combines a unique blend of styles, textures and fabrics from around the world to capture the essence of her new collection. ‘In-Voluntary Addiction’ sees the use of vibrant prints, chiffons and hand-embellished art motifs that all offer an elegant yet bold style.
6 Styles of note are:
The Dionne – a collection of linen and cotton trousers that incorporate a thigh high, side slit available in a choice of colours. A limited edition print in yellow is available, along with block coloured pairs with exquisite hand embroidered silk, leather and sequined waistbands. Prices start from £250.00.
The Medallion Dresses – a unique collection of luxury stretch fabric dresses, which offer the perfect fit for several body types. Lengths differ in the five available styles, each offering finishing details that include braided straps and a striking silk embroidered, hand stitched medallion design (each takes close to 60 hours to complete). Available in red, blue, black and white they are perfect for day and night. Prices start from £300.00.
The Makida – this range is all about structure in the form of straight and loose fit trousers and beautifully tailored shorts. You will find finishing details of soft grey/orange leopard print chiffon detail at the hem and waist. The delicate chiffon is paired with either soft orange, pewter or khaki. Prices start from £250.00.
The Katerina Dresses – These dresses are all about the glorious and feminine peacock print on a luxury jersey fabric. Available in 2 lengths, long with a ruffled tail detail, and short cut into a central point with a front slit to the mid thigh. Other stunning design details include a low cut plunging back and a style to suit most shapes. Priced at £600.00
The JUU Bikini – These bandeau style bikinis could not be more eye-catching. Available in two colours with a choice of boy short or bikini bottoms, each bikini is unique thanks to the signature asymmetric drop strand detail at the front. Made from limited edition fabric, each piece takes 4 days to create and no two bikinis are alike. Priced at £220.00
The Dress – Last but certainly not least, this is the defining piece in the collection. Taking over 5 days to construct, ‘The Dress’ incorporates the signature drop strand detail, down to the floor on both front and back. This full-length gown is a true show stopper. Priced at £1,200.00 and made to order.
‘In-Voluntary Addiction’ also includes a new range of headwear called ‘Good Headz’ whose 8 pieces are fittingly named after global sun spots such as South Beach and Capri, a selection of leather and suede bags from the Kiki Kamanu ‘Arm Kandy’ range, along with the revolutionary, multifunctional ‘Comme Tu Veux’ wrap.

We saw a lot of metallics at London Fashion week, but I feel you could also translate the trend to your jewelry, go for alloys and bronzes, gold is on recess.

When I saw this girl at ARISE Magazine Made in Africa Collective Show at New York Fashin Week, I was stunned. This girl has come so far from winning the Elite Model look in 2010 at only 15 years of age, this girl is set to be the next Oluchi or Agbani, or even Tyra Banks, seriously she is good.

Ashish: I just love the funness in this collection. This is what I love about London fashion week, always daring.
